Psalm 112-115; 1 Corinthians 1

From today's Bible reading:

6:41 AM Psalm 112:
Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commandments!
6:42 AM Light dawns in the darkness for the upright
It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice.
For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever.
6:43 AM He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD.

Psalm 113:
His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries.
He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn is exalted in honor.
6:44 AM Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD!
Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forevermore!
From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the LORD is to be praised!
6:45 AM The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens!
Who is like the LORD our God, who is seated on high, who looks far down on the heavens and the earth?

6:46 AM Psalm 114:
What ails you, O sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn back? O mountains, that you skip like rams? O hills, like lambs?
6:47 AM Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob

Psalm 115:
Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!
6:48 AM Those who make [idols] become like [idols]; so do all who trust in them.
6:49 AM O Israel, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
6:50 AM You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.
The LORD has remembered us; he will bless us; ... he will bless those who fear the LORD, both the small and the great.
6:51 AM May the LORD give you increase, you and your children! May you be blessed by the LORD, who made heaven and earth!
The heavens are the LORD's heavens, but the earth he has given to the children of man.
The dead do not praise the LORD, nor do any who go down into silence.
6:52 AM But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and forevermore. Praise the LORD!

6:54 AM 1 Corinthians 1:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
6:55 AM I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree
I appeal to you, brothers, ... that there be no divisions among you
I appeal to you, brothers, ... that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.
6:56 AM Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel
6:57 AM ... not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age?
6:58 AM Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
6:59 AM it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.
7:00 AM Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles
to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
7:01 AM God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are,
7:02 AM no human being might boast in the presence of God.
7:03 AM And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God
Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption
... so that, as it is written, "Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord."
